What is STORYARTISTY?
How does one describe a truly fun time? Lot’s of laughter? Good stories to set you straight, puppets with funny voices? A really good time, making new friends and enjoying life from a positive perspective?
You yearn to not only listen but speak out as well. WE are all communicative when we are happy and feel secure. Welcome to the place where you are encouraged to come to listen and contribute if the spirit of the moment lifts you into sharing. If you are a child and a story pops into your head, we’d love to hear it. Every one of our participants comes away with something positive after our story-circle time is done.
Young people go home to make puppets or a craft they never thought they could accomplish. The elderly are sparked to write down their own stories and share them with their children and grandchildren. We sing, we tell and we invite participation, or if you are a listener, we leave plenty of room for you to practice your skills. As we expand, our circle, friends are multiplied. Friends we will forever hold dear. Susan has seen families mold into a tighter bond right in front of her eyes. They come worried and leave relaxed and hopeful. Susan has heard tales of how she has sparked young readers to dive right on into books and get more out of their experiences of reading. Teens have come and said she was “sooo bad!” (meaning she is “really good!”). She has seen the sad eyes of the elderly turned up to her as they “get it!” They are as equally important to us all to carry on with humanity as a new born baby. Susan’s openness to her audiences gives back to them their personal respect and dignity. She encourages, good character skills, language arts, listening skills, and respect, which put together encourages people to take charge of their own positive possibilities and become a happier human being.
Our Storyteller, Susan O'Hara and her puppet friends will get your imaginations flowing. Come enjoy a Saturday afternoon with Susan as she shares stories, songs, puppetry and crafts. This event is free and open to the public, so come on out for some fantastic-fun-family times. Learn the power of story!
Susan’s stories open up the minds and hearts of her listeners and spark them to share their stories. Many times the stories flow and many of our listeners learn valuable life keys in the story circle.
